Which AI workshop should I choose?
AI Essentials is the best place to start if you’re new to AI, have only experimented with it, or are still unsure where it could genuinely help your business.
Practical AI is for people who know the basics and want to move beyond simple prompts to use AI more effectively and consistently for everyday business tasks.
AI at Work is for more confident AI users who want to explore how AI can become part of the way their business works, identifying opportunities to improve processes and designing practical AI-supported workflows.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
Yes. Please bring a laptop so you can take part in the exercises and try the tools for yourself. A smartphone or tablet may work for some for the Introduction to AI, but a laptop will give you the best experience.
What AI tools do you cover?
Most live demonstrations use ChatGPT, with Claude introduced as an alternative where useful. The core skills taught, including prompting, providing context, evaluating responses and using AI responsibly, can also be applied to tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini.
Bright Brief does not currently provide advanced, product-specific Microsoft Copilot training.
Do I need a paid ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account?
Not for AI Essentials. You can take part using a free account.
For Practical AI and AI at Work, access to paid features can be useful for some of the exercises, but we’ll let you know about any requirements before the workshop. You won’t need subscriptions to multiple AI tools.
Paid features may also be demonstrated during any of the workshops, but we’ll always explain what’s available on free and paid plans.
Are the workshops suitable for any type of small business?
Yes. The workshops are designed for small businesses across a wide range of sectors. The examples and exercises focus on everyday business tasks common to all small businesses rather than one particular industry.Are the workshops available for private groups?
Yes. Workshops can be commissioned for teams, business networks and organisations that support small businesses. The content can be adapted to suit the experience and priorities of the group.
Are the workshops available online?
Yes. Bright Brief workshops can be delivered in person or online for private groups and sponsoring organisations.
Our workshops are practical and interactive in either format, with participants working through exercises using their own business challenges. For online sessions, we keep group sizes manageable so everyone has the opportunity to take part and ask questions.
What happens after the workshop?

Will I be expected to share information about my business?
We suggest that you use your own business as the basis for the exercises, but you will not be asked to share confidential or commercially sensitive information with the group.
